Animal Control is staffed by one full-time Animal Control Officer who is actively involved in educating and promoting humane solutions and responsible pet ownership for the community. 

Lost a Pet?
If you have lost a pet, the animal control service is the place to start your search to have it returned.  All impounded animals are taken to the City's maintained and operated animal shelter. Call to see if your pet is at the shelter.

Interested in Adopting a Pet?
Dog and cat adoption saves lives.  Adopt a dog or cat and you'll have a friend for life! Animal control services offers residents an opportunity to adopt a pet that is in need of a home.

Come Meet our Pets
Some pets, depending on the particular situation, may already be vaccinated, and altered (spayed/neutered).  Adoption fees are $35.  Call 907.842.1581 for more information or to make arrangements to meet your new friend.
