Board of Equalization

The duties of the Board of Equalization are to determine equalization on properties brought before the board by appellants or by one or more members of the board.  The board may alter an assessment of a lot only pursuant to an appeal filed as to the particular lot.  Board members are assigned annually in November by the mayor.

Meetings are held in the City Council Chambers.

Regular meeting schedule
Meetings are scheduled after the appeal period has ended.

The board consists of three city council members and the Mayor, who will preside.  Members shall not be in default with the city for taxes.
